ORGANIZATIONAL
MEMBERS
Long
Term Care Community Coalition is a coalition whose membership includes
consumer, civic and professional groups working together to improve
nursing home care.
By working together, we have been successful in helping to protect
nursing home residents, assisted living residents and other consumers.
There is still much more to be done. It is essential, now more than
ever, that consumer voices be heard.
Membership
meetings are held every other month in New York City. Frequently
there are guest expert speakers addressing current long term care
issues and concerns. Recent speakers have addressed plans for a
single point of entry for long term care, the Medicare Part D drug
benefit and changes to Medicaid transfer of assets rules.
The
meetings are held in the early afternoon to allow upstate members
the opportunity to share and exchange ideas on common issues. As
a member, you will receive major research work produced by the Coalition,
as well as a subscription to our newsletter (4 issues per year).
More
importantly, as a member you will be in the forefront of health
care advocacy, adding vital support to our work to protect and empower
the elderly and disabled. Please consider joining. We need you.
The elderly and disabled need you. Together we can make a difference.
