In over three decades LTCCC has brought together many diverse groups
whose work led to successful improvements in the federal and state
public health codes, historically significant regulatory reform,
a landmark assisted living law, and upgrades in surveillance activities
and enforcement systems.
LTCCC's coalition membership includes consumer, civic and professional
organizations, and individuals from all parts of New York
State. Although regulatory agencies, organizations and individuals
involved in providing long term care are not eligible for
membership, LTCCC works with them and cooperates with them
to achieve the Coalition's goals.
LTCCC has actively worked with the New York State Department of Health, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, NY State legislators, the state attorney general and the governor's office on its efforts to improve long term care. LTCCC is a member of the National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care, the Coalition for Quality Care and the Assisted Living Consumer Alliance.
